WHO WE ARE
A longing for togetherness and social events during Covid led to owner, Jessica Higginbotham, creating the Sharkcuterie Brand. Building charcuterie boards and graze tables was an artistic outlet and way to make people smile during dark times. Started mostly as a hobby, the business met a need that many others had as well and took off. Over the course of the year a real business was born with needs for catering, gourmet gift giving and lots of charcuterie boards! We were growing fast and needed our own home.
In September 2022, we found the perfect location beachside in New Smyrna Beach. Renovations, a new kitchen and two hurricanes later, we will be ready to open our new store, The Local Bite NSB, in early 2023!
Our new store will of course feature Sharkcuterie; but also gourmet sandwiches, salads and and quiche. We will also sell our homemade dips and other specialties enjoyed on our boards along with prepared meals, sides and, of course, wine!
Our little beach town has been so wonderful and supportive of our small business. Our goal is to make The Local Bite NSB a place where local food artisans can be featured and enjoyed. From fresh baked goods from The Bake Shop in Edgewater, to local jam and spice makers, and even locally caught seafood, the gourmet shop will offer a curated look into the wonderful foodie scene we have here in NSB.
